Getting ready, without being asked twice.

Capaz turns your child's morning, after-school and bedtime routines into a star chart they actually want to tick off.

About two minutes to set up: an email address, a 4-digit parent code, and your child's name.

The routine isn't the problem. Remembering it is.

Your child knows what comes after breakfast. They knew yesterday, too. What's missing isn't discipline — it's something to look at that isn't your face.

Things said in most houses before eight in the morning:

  • “Shoes. Shoes! Where are your shoes?”
  • “Have you brushed your teeth?”— asked for the third time
  • “We're going to be late. Again.”

Capaz puts the list where the child can see it, and makes finishing it worth something to them. You stop being the reminder. The chart is the reminder.

Set it up once. After that it turns up on its own.

A routine appears on your child's screen inside its own time window and disappears when it's over. Nobody has to remember to open the right list.

  1. Set your routines

Morning, after school, bedtime, weekend. Choose the days, the start and end times, and a daily star goal. Four are already there the first time you open it — edit them or throw them out.

  2. Fill them with tasks

Every task gets a picture as well as a name, so a child who can't read yet can still use it. Ten stars each by default. Add a deadline — and a penalty for finishing late — where it actually matters.

  3. Hand over the tablet

Your child taps their own face — no login, no switching — sees only the routine running right now, and ticks things off. The stars drop into their jar with a noise worth earning.

A four-year-old knows which routine they're in — without reading a word.

The whole app re-themes with the time of day. Bedtime is genuinely dark, not a white screen at 8pm, which is rather the point.

Morning

06:00 – 08:30

Sunrise gold. Breakfast, teeth, bag, door — with a deadline on the one that always runs late.

After school

15:00 – 19:00

Teal. Homework, instrument, lunchbox out of the bag before it becomes a science experiment.

Night time

19:00 – 21:30

Deep indigo. Pyjamas, teeth, story. Dark enough that the tablet isn't the thing keeping them up.

Weekend

08:00 – 20:00

Candy pink, and a wider window. Fewer must-dos, more bonus stars for the things nobody asked for.

Stars they earn. Rewards they pick. Streaks they'd rather not break.

The chart is the easy part. What keeps a child coming back on day forty is everything built on top of it.

  • Rewards tied to a goal

Not a wallet to spend down. Hit the week's star target and Saturday's cinema trip unlocks — and next week it's there to earn all over again. Only a parent, with the code, marks it as given.

  • Streak badges

Three days in a row earns one. Then seven, fourteen, thirty, sixty, a hundred. Each arrives with its own small ceremony, because a hundred days deserves one.

  • Goals worked out from your tasks

Daily and weekly targets, each offered at three levels calculated from the tasks you actually added — a gentle start, a balanced one, and one to stretch for.

  • Parent override

Stars docked for lateness when there was a genuinely good reason? Enter your code and edit today's scores line by line. Undo is right there.

  • Built for more than one

Each child gets their own face on the home screen, their own colour and their own jar. Tasks can be shared by everyone or assigned to just one of them.

  • Works with the wifi off

It's installed on the tablet, not streamed to it. In the car, on a plane, at a grandparent's house where nobody knows the wifi password — it still opens and still saves.

  • Or on every device at once

Switch on sync and the kitchen tablet, your phone and your partner's phone share one chart. Two people can tick the same task at the same moment and it still counts once.

  • Their own face on it

An animal emoji, or a real photo cropped and resized on the device. A photo never leaves that device — not even with sync switched on. That's enforced in the code, not just promised here.

We keep only what a star chart needs, and sell none of it.

Your chart starts in your own browser's storage, on your own device. Share it between your devices and, with your consent, it's kept in your household's private space on servers in Brazil — for syncing, and nothing else. It never switches on advertising.

What Capaz never does

  • Show a single advert, to you or to your child
  • Run analytics, tracking scripts or advertising identifiers
  • Upload your child's photo — it's cropped on the device and stays there
  • Ask a child for anything: they can't make an account or change settings
  • Hold your data hostage — export and delete work on every plan, free included

What it does instead

  • Saves everything on your device first, and syncs only with your consent
  • Hashes your 4-digit parent code before storing it — never in plain text
  • Uses your email only for a sign-in code and code resets, never marketing
  • Lets you download a full backup, or delete the lot, from Settings
  • Clears old history automatically after about four months

Capaz is small, and new. It's run by one family, for families. Your children's information stays on your own device unless you choose to share it between your devices — and the privacy policy says exactly what that means, in plain language. Read the privacy policy before you decide.

You pay us, so that nobody else does.

Capaz has no advertisers and nothing to sell, which only works if the families using it are the ones paying for it. So the chart is free for one child, and a family plan covers everything that comes after.

It installs from this page. No App Store, no Play Store.

Capaz is a web app that behaves like a native one: a real icon on the home screen, full screen with no browser bars, and it keeps working when the connection doesn't.

iPad or iPhone

  1. Open Capaz in Safari — Apple only allows this from Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Android tablet or phone

  1. Open Capaz in Chrome.
  2. Tap Install on the bar that appears at the top of the app.
  3. It lands in the app drawer like anything from the Play Store.

Laptop or desktop

  1. Nothing to install — it runs in a browser tab.
  2. Handy for setting up routines and tasks with a real keyboard.
  3. Turn on sync and the tablet picks up your edits.

Questions parents actually ask

What is free, and what costs money?

One child is free, permanently — not a trial that runs out. The free chart gives you all four routines, the whole starter set of tasks plus ten of your own, three rewards, and everything that makes a chart work: stars, goals, deadlines, streak badges, parent override and a full backup. The family plan lifts the caps — as many children, tasks and rewards as you like, and up to ten routines — and adds one shared chart across every device. Checkout is open now for Brazilian (BRL) families; UK and US pricing will follow.

What age is it for?

Roughly three to ten. Every task carries a picture as well as a name, so a child who can't read yet can work through a routine on their own. Older children tend to care more about the streaks and rewards than the stars.

Do I have to make an account?

You set one up the first time: an email address, a short code to confirm it, and a 4-digit parent code for that device. After that the app opens straight to your children's faces. There is deliberately no login screen standing between a six-year-old and ticking off breakfast — the code protects the settings, not the chart.

What happens if the tablet is lost or wiped?

With sync switched on, sign in on the new device with the same email and your children, routines, stars and rewards come back down to it. Without sync, the backup file you can download from Settings at any time is what restores everything.

Will it remind my child when the app is closed?

No — and we'd rather say so than imply otherwise. Capaz can show a notification about fifteen minutes before a routine ends if tasks are still open, but only while it's open in the foreground. There's no server behind it to wake a closed tablet.

Can two parents use it on different phones?

Yes, with sync on. Both phones and the kitchen tablet show one chart, and if you both tick the same task at once it still counts as one star. Each device keeps its own 4-digit code — the code is a lock on that device, never something sent to the cloud.

What languages does it speak?

English, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. Switch language in the parent area, under Settings — it changes the whole app, for everyone using that device.

Set it up tonight. Use it tomorrow morning.

Two minutes, an email address and a 4-digit code. Then hand over the tablet and watch what happens the first time they clear a routine on their own.
